Nettms Urban Habitat Pvt. Ltd. ("Nettms", "we", "our") operates Nettms Academy of AI & Engineering. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

• Account: name, email, phone, city, password hash.
• Course interactions: enrollments, payments, sessions attended.
• Communications: messages you post in community, support tickets.
• Technical: IP, device, browser, analytics events (PostHog, GA4).

How we use it

To run your account, deliver the courses you've enrolled in, issue certificates, process payments, send service updates, and improve our programs. We never sell your data.

Payments & PCI

All card and UPI data flows through Razorpay (and Stripe for international students). Nettms never stores card numbers or CVVs.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

• Right to access the data we hold about you.
• Right to correct or update inaccuracies.
• Right to erase your account (subject to legal retention).
• Right to nominate a person to act on your behalf.

You can exercise the first three yourself, immediately. Sign in and go to Profile → Account:

• Download my data — every record we hold about you, as a JSON file.
• Delete my account — we email you a confirmation code, then erase your account and personal data. This cannot be undone.

If you signed up by phone and have no email on your account, or you want us to act on a nominee's behalf, email privacy@nettmsacademy.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we erase your profile, learning progress, community posts, messages, resume, interview sessions and marketing records straight away.

What survives deletion, and why. Indian law requires us to keep payment and invoice records for 6 years (GST) and up to 8 years (Income Tax Act). DPDP Act 2023 §17(1)(b) permits retention where another law requires it. We keep those financial rows, but your account is anonymised — so the retained records no longer identify you. Marketing data is deleted within 30 days of you opting out.
